East Bracket
Teams with the most potential:
-#1 Kentucky-Young and loaded with talents are my boys from the Bluegrass state (laugh now, yes I just said my boys). I never thought anyone would want to leave Lexington and head to Syracuse in March but the Cuse look to cut down the nets at the Carrier Dome in a couple of weeks. Wall is a top 5 pick and Cousin’s could go first overall. That means nothing if they can’t bring the Big Blue faithful another national championship (their first since 1998).
-#2 WVU –Coach Huggins you are getting a key to city hall today, you want to dress up a little bit for the occasion? Nah, I feel my warm-ups are a good touch and my style (yes he actually showed up to city hall in a sweet Nick Moore sweat suit). Butler is the best athlete WVU has had in a long long time, and can carry them to the Elite Eight. Only problem I have with the Mountaineers’ is that the Big East Champ rarely fairs well in the NCAA tournament.

Thanks for coming, better luck next year:
-#8 Texas-What the hell happen to Rick Barnes’s team? Number 1 in the nation at one point, then 7 loses in 10 games have Horns fans wondering when football starts. Cheer up Texas faithful, it will be a short and rather painless trip this year to the tournament.
-#7 Clemson- Is it just me or does it seem every year we talk about Clemson being good in both football and basketball and they just turn out to be a huge disappointment? Talent is there (Booker is a beast) but consistency has been a huge problem for the Tigers. Look for a very entertaining game in round one with Mizzu but nothing more than a second round exit at the hands of West Virginia.

If the slipper fits:
-#12 Cornell-I will be the first to tell you if you want to watch an exciting game, don’t tune into the Temple vs. Big Red first round match-up. Neither team is going to jump out at you with loads of talent, but if you are looking for basketball played fundamentally than this is your game. The BIG RED won the Ivy League and had some impressive losses and wins but really they haven’t played a tough opponent in a long time. If they get passed Temple and Wisconsin their fate will come to an end to Kentucky.
-#6 Marquette-The Golden Eagles have the talent to make a nice run but will they be able to pull it out if it is close? In 7 of their losses this year Marquette has lost by 5 points or fewer. Expect the games to be close, this year though they don’t have a guy named James to win it for them. Another meeting with WVU seems to be reasonable for the Golden Eagles.
Upset Alert on High:
-#3 New Mexico vs. Marquette/Washington Winner-I don’t see too many big upsets in this bracket but I think this may be one of them. Steve Alford has found a new home but this ain’t the PIT.
A Star is born:
-Ryan Wittman #20 Cornell-Your studs are Wall & Butler but if you want the Jimmy Chitwood of the NCAA tournament watch Wittman. He can post up and score down low but has a nice jay as well. If the Big Red look to pull off a few stunners it is going to be at the hands of #20.

GET the ladder out please, thank you:
-#1 Kentucky-Too much talent not to make it to at least the final four. Wall is young, but remember John Cal had a fella in Rose that took him to the finals. Cousins and Paterson will make quick work of teams. Look for the Wildcats to finally get back to the Final Four and maybe Wildcat fans will be happy. Just Kidding we won’t be happy till we are cutting the nets down for a national title.

*Thanks for reading, have fun watching the games well I sit at work*
