Thanks for the Memories!

The 2001 VW Jetta that I purchased after my freshman year in college, has been put to rest.

"The Red Dragon", I named it,(with inspiration from Old School) had heart, a V6 engine, and a super-cool moonroof.

Shortly after I bought the Red Dragon, I found out it was the highest driven car by homosexual's in the world...I was defying statistics.

Though I didn't have numerous sexual en-counters like I did in it's predecessor, "Black Heat" (my Dodge Dakota Truck), this care did go through hell with numerous encounters through it's 7 year life, as it had an idiot for a driver...me!

First, I hit a deer crossing the train-tracks by the old 1160 radio station. I was honestly going 15 mph..I hit the deer...and as I turned around to see what happened to the deer...it gallantly pranced away.

Secondly, I hit another deer going a little bit faster, and the front right fender was severely impaired.

Next, I put my window down once and it fell through to the door, causing me to use a plastic bag as my shield from the rain.

On Xmas eve a few years back, I hit a deer, going through Derry, which took out my drivers side mirror..causing me once again...to rig my drivers side window with a clear, plastic bag.

While I was playing summer ball in Ohio State...I left my Ipod charger plugged into the outlet...Battery dead...parking tickets...I am still not allowed to park my car on OSU's campus...because if they catch me...my ass will go to jail..

While at Akron...a homeless person was upset with something I said to them...so they came back late at night and knocked my driver's side mirror off with their hand...or empty Old English Bottle...as I traded it in yesterday it still had the athletic tape I used to tape it roughly 4 years ago...

Numerous times I got it stuck in random allies in Akron...when the snow was terrible..causing tow trucks and friends to push and pull it out... that's what she said?

Then...for the last year..I've driven it without an ignition coil...which means the engine should have blown up..but it didn't..because the damn thing had heart...that car loved me more than I loved it..and as I drove it one last time yesterday..I remembered the memories...the joy...the pain...damn..

Say a prayer for the Red Dragon....she was good..she was damn good!
