Todd Graham has decided to take a job at Arizona State University...he informed his players of his new job via text message.
Classless, scumbag, football evangelist...yes these are all words to describe Todd Graham, but let's look at it from his perspective.
Reasons why he left:
1. He knew his offensive system couldn't work in cold weather.
2. He ran out of money and needed a new deal, due to the medical bills he accrued from throwing his players under the bus.
3. He wanted to give the Pitt fans what they've truly wanted all along...Steve Pederson fired, and Tom Bradley hired.
4. He really does have lots of illegitimate children or as he puts it...family...in Arizona.
5. He's the real father of Rushel Shell's UN-born twins.
I could list reasons all day, but if you were offered an overpaying job in Arizona, when you live in Detroit(or some other cold weather location that your not from), your telling me you wouldn't take it.
Especially after you just finished your first season at 6-6...I despise him for being Bobby Petrino, for having college athletes buy into the bullshit that was his message....but I don't blame him for wanting to be in better weather, in a better conference, or anything else better Arizona has to offer.
Graham could never win here...underachieve and your always going to have the Wanndstedt lovers come out of the woodwork. Win early and often, fans would complain about him taking a better job.
He always sounded like a egotistical asshole when I listened to him....me, me, me, me. Well Todd Graham, you didn't win any games while you were at Pitt(players did), but you sure as hell lost 4 games while you were at Pitt.
Peter-son needs to be moved from his position, or fired. The outrage from this firing needs to lead Pitt to hiring Tom Bradley. I often think fans and alumni shouldn't make these decisions, but if Pitt wants to save any face...they need to hire Tom.
Only coach I would prefer over Bradley is Jim Tressel...but I don't think he'd piss on the University of Pittsburgh if it was up in flames.
